Well folks - we are back home from Afirca for quite a while now....We are over the hermopholus B which I picked up.... and had board meetings and caught up with a lot of the work ...and tomorrow is my 71st birthday.

After getting home we took 9 days in Florida with the Bothwells - it was Michaels 5th birthday and time to visit Mickey Mouse and friends. To the left is Michael and big brother Mark in front of an old truck.

The other big news which some may not have yet heard is on May 11th David and Christina gave birth to an 8pound son - Ethan Lynn. Mom and son are both doing well. To the left we see David, Caleb (now 5) and Ethan. If you are not used to the name - there were seevral Ethan's in the Bible - one was a sage, and I think there were two others who were musicians.
Now we are pressing on to the summer months - we are getting plans underway for TEEN MISSION CAMP. If you know any teens who might be interested have them contact us at bill@iatw.ca.

N/A Consultation

We had a wonderful two days....the first day some11 men met with us for prayer and discussions- the second day 9 shared with us as we looked at needs, possibilities, barriers and solutions for our plans for the north.

It was very encouraging ...when we get home we will be writing a lengthier report which we can send to all who would like it.

As soon as we can (perhaps one to three months) we will be drawing up agreements to work with up to three men to plan various aspects of work.

Thank you for praying....

Bill took a picture of the group which we include....being the photographer he was not in the picture.

Sunday afternoon Barb celebrates her 70th birthdy Nigerian style (we are not sure what that is.)
Our hosts here in Lagos are a banker and his wife and they are taking wonderful care of us - we are in a lovely hotel with A.C. and a pool. They have a number of pastors and their wives as friends and will be gathering for Barb's birthdaylus her birthday speach. Then on Monday we leave for home, arriving Tuesday afternoo. We booth feel 6weeks is getting a little long to be away.

NIGERIA News

Back again....we are in Nigeria (have been for almost a week.) The conference went well at Michika. It was their annual missions conference with all the churches sending delegates. It was also teh Bible School graduation and Barb and I had the honour of presenting diplomas. We cannot add pictures from the internet cafe so will post some when we get home (April 22nd or so)

Tomorrow is the big day - we travel to Kano in northern Nigeria. Leaders from Niger and Libya will travel to meet us....Meeting Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. When we will get to know one another, share vision and plans for working together to establish the Kingdom.

In advance we thank you for your prayers.

Friday we think we will travel in afternoon to Lagos where we will be until our departure on Monday. Maybe we will get to an internet cafe there -not sure yet.

We praise Gof for what has been accomplished in 6 weeks but it is getting to be a long time away from home.

All Nations Academy

Here are some photos of shcool today.

April 6 Moving On

Today is our last full day in Zanzibar. Tomorrow noon we head to Nairobi overnight and then fly on to Lagos and then an internal flight to Maiduguri. The next two weeks are critical for prayer. We really need God to give us His strategy for working in Niger and Libya.

Today school was back after their March/April break. We also got some day old chicks. We have started the hen house but did not get it finished. David has the plan so can finish it up. Wont need it for about 2 months.
I have some photos which we will add from todays activities.

above are the chicks with Caleb keeping a watchful eye.

Also above is the photo of the new guard house on the second campus. The funds for this were provided from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. in Peterorough.

One of the hopes is to get a dairy cow from the agricultural breeding program at the university in Dar Es Salaam. The second campus will have a good suply of gras for awhile. Later this year we hope to start the class rooms which will be used for high school down the road.

All Nationa Academy

Heres a photo of the school grounds from the roof of the new classroom block.

The 3 story house is where David and Christina live, Barb and I are ciurrently in the guest apartment on the third floor.

The next building is pastor Daniels house -to the left of that are two clssrooms. The sloping roof is a jungle jim covered so it is cooler.

The big roof in the middle covers thw water tank so it does not get too hot,the little roof to the right covers the well.
The tent is where more classrooms and meeting hall will eventually go. A bicycle rack is beside the tent. The metal bars sticking out is where the new hall will eventually join the current building.

Where I am standing to take the photo is where the next 3 classrooms are to go - the library, a computer lab, and another classroom. Construction will soon begin as we get more funds Hopefully his month of April.

Zanzibar

April 3 - When we first arrived we had a 2 day leadership conference with Jospeh Mophet...About 30 leaders atended and while it was tiring the leaders say it was a very helpful time. One leader asked if I would come to the university in Dar Es Salam to teach on an Easter outreach.

The Sunday service I shared on the work of the Church helping people to know God.

Monday to Thursday we have been doing odd jobs around the property. Today we are supposed to be getting some day old chicks to start a small flock for eggs. We have the materials for a hen house so will likely also be building part of the hen house. It gets so hot by 1pm I find I do not have much energy for working in the heat. The school is on its sping break so we have time to work in the classes and on buildings.

Once we leave here next Tuesday for Nigeria there may not be any opportunity to update the blog - I will try and add someting before then.
